Postdoc (m/f/d)
- 100 % EG 13 TV-AVH -
Your tasks:
- development of mouse models with human immune systems as well as organoid systems
- studying pathogenesis of filoviruses and the host responses to Ebola and Marburg virus infections
Your Profile:
- an excellent PhD degree or equivalent in immunology of infectious diseases, preferably tropical infections
- multiple years of experience in designing large flow cytometry panels and strong flow cytometry acquisition and analysis skills (e. g. high dimensional data clustering algorithms)
- experience working with mice according to FELASA standards (at least under Biosafety level 3**)
- experience in biological containment (e. g. Biosafety level 3** or equivalent)
- commitment, team spirit and good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and ability to plan and execute experiments independently and flexibly
- experience in field work, preferably in West African countries
- experience in training of PhD students, interns and master students
- very good spoken and written English and German
- willingness to work under conditions of safety levels 3 and 4
Work in safety laboratories requires aptitude and a successful security clearance (Ü2).
